Title: Help Identifying a Song
Post by: mt_spiffy on June 05, 2006, 05:38:49 PM
I'm not sure what board this belongs on, so if a moderator wants to move it to the appropriate one that would be great.

I am looking for a song where the lyrics go:

"My Earnest Desire . . . is to Please You"
"Lord, Have Your Way . . . In Me"

then some words I cant remember

then

"Fill Me With Your Spirit"
"Anointing From Above"
"So that I May Be a Vessel"
something something . . . "Your Love"

And if there's more than one version, the version I am looking for starts with just the choir and acoustic guitar.

Does anyone know the song name and artist?  Thanks!

Yeah, the song is called "My Earnest Desire" and the artist is Adrian B. King

With Google, I had found this out some time ago.  Then I went to one of the CD sites and listed to a clip, and the clip was very short, but from what I heard I thought "Ok, this either isnt the right song, or it's a different version".  But the more I looked on Google and on AllMusic.com, all I could find was "My Earnest Desire" by Adrian B. King.  Come to find out, the same artist recorded two different versions of the song on two different albums.  I was looking for the earlier version, Google was spitting out sound clips of the second.

SO . . . does anyone have an Mp3 of "My Earnest Desire" by Adrian B King?

You can download Spotify and then type in the song and listen to it for free. Also, Arreiunn Tucker plays it on youtube.com.
