This, in my opinion, was the best $50.00 I've ever put in a instructional dvd. The first hour of the dvd is all about chords. PJ start off explaining how to form chords. After explaining how to form them, he explains how to put them in 2-5-1 progressions. He then shows various ways of playing the same progression, but with different voicings and fillins. He also shows you this very nice thomas whitfield progression and some preaching chords.
The second hour is all about scales. Pj shows you how to form the major, minor(melodic and harmonic), diminished, whole tone, pentatonic, and blues scales and where to put them in progressions. I thought the tape was very benefical, especially the chords part.

I bought the DVD. Its OK if you're a beginner and want to learn basic GOSPEL around-turns, ins, outs, basic gospel runs, foot pedal technique, shout music, and hymns. The only flaw, his demos were perfromed in 2-3 keys.
A positive note about the DVD
It comes with a book of notes and chords. These chords are spelled out, not on a score sheet. Which is useless to me. However, the score sheet is available, free of charge by request.
In addition, he is very when explaining himself on each section of the DVD. He presents himself an experienced organist.
I hope this helps.
Stay BLESSed.
