Title: This is worth seeing!
Post by: sugabear on July 14, 2006, 06:40:16 PM
If you haven't seen this already check it out. The backing track is as original as his drumming. I'm so interested in learning this type of style (I think it's drum and bass).

You me or someone else posted on Benny many months ago. This is cool to see all the Meinl clips of him on one page, LOL. Inspriration overload.

He is sick. Reminds be a lot of Thomas Lang in facility and groove.

The style is Drum-n-Bass... that is what Johnny Rabb, JoJo Mayer, Thomas Lang and Marco Minniman are doing. Look in to DJ culture, drum-n-bass and Ambiant music.

Simply it it is breack beats and sub-divisions. Yougot to love the metronome. Notice that all these guys have great timing and independence.

PS: Congrats on the wedding!!!

...I love how these European Drummers make it look so easy man.  His approach to the kit reminds me of Thomas Knight.  Good clip.  I enjoyed it.  I can't wait to see what Thomas Lang will be bringing to the table at the Fest.

Oh Ok. well, then, I gave you advanced congrats rather than belated. I will save them for July 28.

Advice? the only advice I can give is...she is always right. Even when she is wrong. And the best way to get her mind off of a fight, is to take her shopping! haha.

My pastor always says that the MAN is the head of the house hold, BUT the WOMAN is the neck that turns the head...

" How can the head turn unless the neck agrees? "

He also stated that marriage is what you make it...not what other's say!!

Marriage is not a 50/50 but a 100/100!!!

I can understand that...But look at it from a drummers' point of view. That man is tight. I learned from that clip.

Now that's music. I love creativity. That was straight groove without a lot of licks.
