To all the real players..lol..if money was no object what grand piano would you buy..a steinway or bosendorfer???
-
STEINWAY or a yamaha one. :)
Bosendorfer sounds empty and too low to me. Like if there is no life in it. Sounds dead.

I would buy a bosendorfer all the way, personally, it had the best touch I've ever felt and it sounded like a dream. It may have been the one I played. I've played a lot of steinways and they're excellent, but bosendorfer is the greatest piano to me….

I've always wanted to have a "steinway" piano in my home, I played on one twice and the sound and feel took my breath away, I would certainly recommend getting one because if money was no object I would most definitely get one..... :D ;D :D

Steinway. The teachers at my school are professional classical musicians who demand the best and they all would chose Steinway.
-
Steinway, just personal preference.

Steinway, fa sho!!!
-
I must check them both out...

Steinway because it has a richer texture to me and i like the way the keys feels a whole lot better. Every thing is better on a steinway.

Hands down, it would be a Steinway! There is no way you can replicate the way a Steinway sounds. I played on a Steinway in my school's jazz band for a year on a Steinway grand piano. I even played in during the concerts. There is no why I could play any other grand piano and be happy. I love the way it felt when playing it and the sound it produced. Steinway, baby!!

Steinway by far, but it comes with a niiice price tag.

I second that. For me a Steinway has a richer sound that Bosendorfer lacks.
I think that Steinway pianos are competitive with Baldwin pianos. I love both.

I must admit that I am a FAKE piano player :D but I prefer the feel and sound of the Bosendorfer. It is more heavily weighted, with a very fast action, and the sound is more robust at the extremes.
Just my unprofessional opinion though.

I went to this piano outlet recently and played a Steinway for the first time, and wow...it was magical!

I'll have to go with the Steinway.
