Title: Learning songs

Hello,
I have a problem with matching chord progressions when learning new songs, most of the time i can pick up the melody and the key of the song, but when it comes to matching the chords of the song, I really struggle. any suggestions, thanks in advance.

I don't ususlly focus so totally on chords but on the bass notes than usually you can get the chords that way.

This technique of figuring out the bass notes, then adding the chord based on the bass notes is what makes up progressions.  Progressions are just patterns of chords, that get their name from the bass notes.  You ever heard of the terms 2-5-1 or 7-3-6, well those are specific names for progressions that contain those specific bass notes.  The numbers represent scale degrees of the major scale that u are in.  Now, if you have no idea what I am talking about, then here are some links u definitely need to visit to get u caught up:
