Title: I need some help

I really need some help finding a couple of songs that a beginner Saxophone player can play....  My nephew is learning how to play it and i'm looking for songs for him... He's really learning fast...  Any help would be great.

My first church song was AMAZING GRACE... nice and simple, everyone knows it, and u can make it real pretty, or jazz it up as much as u want

Thanks for the suggestion Keynote...He played one song with me on last Sunday...He learned how to play "Thank You Lord" all by himself and did an awesome job...

Hey, Keynote!  Beleive it or not, "Amazing Grace" was one of the first sax solos that I played in church too! ;D

Broraj, I would suggest that your nephew play songs that are simple and catchy.  Especially songs that are familiar to him.  That way, it will be easier for him to learn.  Tell your nephew to keep up the good work, and know that we are praying for him - that God will continue to use and anoint him to play for the glory of God!

get a beginner sax technique book (1 & 2).
check the hal leonard online catalog for the 'praise and worship' alto sax (or tenor) book/cd...good practice/performance tunes.

I've been playing sax for 3 days now, i used to play 14 years ago in middleschool till my sax was stolen, but i played yesterday Blessed Assurance (by ear) it's a really easy song to play around and practice with.
