I'm just learning and I have a budget of around $900. What is the best Keyboard I can get in this price range?

yeh i for got about the korg x5d.
very liteweight. easy to move around. bout 599.
issue is, they havn't changed the sound set since 1994.

The X5d is the keyboard that wont go away. It was based on the Korg X3, over 10 years ago. Synths have come and gone but that one is still here.
Based on that aggresive pricing, it looks like it is reaching EOL (end of line)
Probably being replaced by the X50.

Hey Doc....How good is that Triton TR? I have an alesis Qs7 it's holding me down foreal but I need another board for gigs... Can that hold me down on 76 keys?

Very good choices here.

Thinks you should consider. When i got my first professional keyboard I couldnt wait and just get the XP80 so I got the XP10. Wish I had waited. One it only has 28 polyphony. Im a arpeggio player so sounds would drop out plus I only had 61 keys. It takes getting used to playing on a 88 key when you have been playing on a 61 for a long time. If you plan on sequencing later dont get a synth. If you want to record and save your music consider that too.

When i cheked the TR at the store, i was like "great, another triton re-hash"...
but after i played it, i found it has some good stuf in it. and its light.
as far as key action, that ya gotta try for your self.
Ya wont be able to get to your sounds quik like on the QS, but its tight nonetheless.
If ya want sequrncing, get a TR.
if not, the get a korg X50.

wow, i 4got about that one.
thats pretty good,
small screen tho. no speakers or sustain pedal included
bunch of sounds, plus grand piano. Piano not as good as yamaha motif, but it can work.
try it out.
if your reeeeeeeealy on a budget and mainly wan piano,
try casio px310.
88keys, weighted, speakers, headpphone out, line out, concentrates on piano but has more.
$599.
29 pounds.
real light.
