When you guys give instruction on building, say preacher chords, I see you writing it out as this: Eb / G - Bb - Db - Eb and so on. Does that mean that I should play an Eb in the bass then follow it up with a G major, Bb major, Db major, then an Eb major chord OR is this actually a Eb7 chord voiced in first inversion? I just want to make sure I follow the system.
On the same vein...
If the above statement pans out to be the second choice (Eb7 with the bass playing root), am I right to assume that there are times when you are playing compound chords or poly-chordal. For example, I often see there are times when there are multiple notes to the left AND right of the /.
On an organ, would you voice these on both manuals in the same octave? or one octave apart?
Sorry for all the questions...
Peace,

The Structure for the Organ room is:
BP/LH/RH
So:
Db/Gb-Bb-B-Eb/Gb-Ab-Bb-Db
Would be Db in the base, BMaj7 in the Left hand, and Gbadd9 in the Right.
As for where they're placed, I'd SUGGEST playing them close together, but that's up to you. :)
