:o Truly Amazing!!!
-
that was pretty sick
-
It was cool to see for a few minutes and then I just got burned out on it.
He keeps playing the same thing over and over and over and over...like he only knows one chord progression and one scale.
What I'm trying to say is "he ain't Stanley Jordan", alright?! ;D
-
it was redundant, but still impressive. be interesting to see how he fared in other styles, in the actual context of a song.

Yeah, I'd like to hear more from him as well.
Like, can he do this:

Man, I can't even watch Stanley Jordan, I just want to go hack my fingers off now...
It's truly amazing how some people's minds and hands can work that way. I have a feeling that even if my hands could do it, my mind would be a cluster, or vice versa.
Thanks for that, Dave.

Man both of those guitar players are freaks >:(
I'm just a lil' jealous :D :D

No disrespect, but most of the dudes on here can do that, though. It was clean, but not unattainable. Now, the complex two handed stuff like above is something that wows me.

Pretty nice!!!

No disrespect my brother, lets see you DO IT :) :)

I think what JayP was saying is that that guy in the video is a good player but he's playing mostly very simple pentatonic runs which are not too difficult to pull off for the average rock/blues guitarist who's put in some decent practice time.
Still, he's a good player, no doubt.

I'm not normally in the guitar room, but I sure do love good clips of every instrument...That was nice!!

That's what I was getting at. I preempted my statement with "no disrespect." It was clean, but it wasn't mind-boggling. I'm not here to try to lift up myself, either, I was just saying that I am more impressed with stuff that I am very far off from acheiving. I do touch on some of that stuff in a vid I posted on myspace a while back, but it's sloppier since it was a quick and dirty throwdown to give a fellow member on here some examples of the blues and pentatonic scales.
If you would like, you can see it here http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1173986285 (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1173986285)

This also gives you a chance to see how much of a dork I really am, and that I am anything but pretentious or egotistical. My apologies for the miscommunication.
You can also check out some of my music here http://www.myspace.com/musicwithameaning (http://www.myspace.com/musicwithameaning)
Especially check out "Strive" Not gospel, but Christian, and I am a bit happy about that solo. Not bragging, but I think it turned out nicely.
For the record, I'm not going to profess to be better than anyone--that's not what this site is for--I was simply stating what lit my fire and what didn't. Feel free to comment in any manner on any of my stuff.
Oh, I just now saw those smileys :-[. My bad. See how things can get misunderstood on this ol' internet? Regardless, I hope someone can enjoy some of my stuff.

My man, thank you.I just want you to know that i was ONLY kidding :) :).I am glad you saw the smileys. Thanks, got to go now,and work on some of your licks. ;D ;D
MAY GOD BLESS YOU

Thanks! I didn't expect that, I just hadn't really shared any of that on here yet, and figured that was a good time. The person that those were for had some printouts that had the scales and stuff on them, so some of it isn't in detail. I've been thinking about doing some stuff like that in more of a lesson format. Would it be worth it to anyone on here? Let me know.

I just moved into a very small space, and I'm still sorting through my stuff. Once I'm settled, I will post new vids and links to docs that go along with them. Be patient, I will try to do this soon. Thanks.
