Title: B-3000
Post by: temejo1 on October 24, 2006, 03:54:45 PM
My church has this old B3000.  What kind of organ do you suggest we get?  We usually play keyboards at our church, but for those visiting, we would like to have options.

Also, consider our church is small, and we are not in a position to pay thousands of dollars for this organ.

I agree with b3wannab. But here's a low budget solution.

I just bought a hammond a-100 off e-bay.  (well I got it about a month ago but shipping it has been an issue)  We had to have it transported which is a hassle but even with transporting it still was cheaper than buying from a music store.  My pastor has seen the organ but I haven't yet....I'm thinking for the price we paid (about 900) we can get most the money back on parts alone if we had to.  Just look around on e-bay if that's an option.

As much time as I spend on Ebay, I never thought about finding an organ on there.  I thought if people charge $150 for shipping a $100 drum set, an organ would be off the charts.  I will check it out.  Thanks.

The shipping starts about @ $500 (that's what I saw when I was looking).

Yeah an a-100 or c-3 would be best.  The B-3000: one of hammond's worst organs, man!  It sounds like a casio with drawbars and a leslie.

You'll still come out less expensive than you would buying from one of the piano and organ stores. One cannot be had in my area for under $6,500.
