Praise God,
Organist I was wondering if you could tell me how the Hammond B3000 sounds. I am curious I saw for at a fairly reasonable price and it came with a Leslie. Hoping someone could let me know if it is close the the B3 sound.
Thank you and God Bless You,
Brother Mark Wilson

I think I played one before. Its like the super B right? It sounds more digital like to me.

The B-3000 sounds pretty good, but it does not sound like a B-3. I posted a clip of Chipper Smith playing it at my church. Here is the post.

We have a B3000 at our church. The other musicians love the transpose feature. :D However, I don't believe they make those anymore (I could be wrong), but it sounds good to me with the right people playing it. This is coming from a keyboard player of course.

If you like theatre Organs it's good, because that's what it sounds like. But when compared to the CV, C3, B3, or A-100 (my personal fave), it simply doesn't stack up. It's a JOKE when compared to "real" Hammond organs.

Blessings,
I play one 3 sundays out of a month at one of the churchs I play for and it sounds O.K. but like its been said it don't compare to a B-3,C-3,or a A-100 it has a digital sound to it and also it has a traspose on it on the left hand side and alot of musicians have a serious problem with using it as for a B-3,C-3,or A-100 they have to learn how to play in every key.
Be Blessed

Ok... I'm not a huge fan of the B3000 because it's solid state (it aint got tubes) and the lesley for it sux!!!
BUT however if you connect a REAL tube lesley to it it sounds all right. It's all in who's playing it. Here is some clips from my church one that knows how to play it and one who is ok with it
these two clips the dude is nice on it.

The tone sounds really nice but the C/V leaves quite a bit to be desired.

C/V? I'm not an organ player... keys for me LOL
Oh.. the pedals don't work, the organ repair dude thinks it is the converter that hooks the 3000 to the tube lesley
