Title: John Blackwell on SNL 12/16
Post by: BigFoot_BigThumb on December 17, 2006, 07:42:05 PM
Did any of you catch John Blackwell, Jr. on SNL last night hitting with Justin Timberlake?  He was very funky, yet subdued with his playing.  Justin put in a couple of pretty good performances IMO.  The band sounded great.

Thats what it appears.  Every time I see JT, JB is backing him up.  Ive seen John backing him up on Leno, SNL, and some other stuff that Ibilddrums posted on the board.

Yep.  J. Blackwell is holding it down in the back for JT.  He also has Prince's former guitar player on lead guitar.  JT will be here in Nashville in March.  I plan to be there.  I really was hoping to find a way to gig with him, but I didn't have a contact to his mgmt.  JT is not to be slept on.  He is a dynamic performer and always has a top-notch band behind him.  I'm sure he'll give John a solo spot.  He has to.
