the watch meeting at my church last night was so powerful!!!!!! i was one of the speakers on the program and i felt truly blessed by the other speakers before and after me. Was there anyone else blessed by the watch meeting service at their church on new years eve besides me????

We had a GREAT time too. Watch Night was actually a spill over from both morning services. We were so into the praise & worship, we didn't even know it was 12:15 until pastor told us. It was awsome!!!!

This is basically what our watch night service was. We had so much that morning until I didn't think it could get any better that night. I was wrong, it was just as crazy as it was that morning. The singing was good, the speakers were good, everything was just GOOD. 2007 is going to be an explosive year and I'm ready for whatever is about to happen.

Let me tell you about our watch night service.....
......Our watch night service was completely a pure 1st class way of ending "06" and starting "07". Our regular musicians did not show up at all [as expected, complete drama going on, but that’s another story] so on the night my brother and I played, and I must say that it was the best I have ever played. It was great and anointed I'm sure; because I did things I didn't know I could do.
Everyone was blessed and had a good time hearing the word and the goals for the upcoming year. I'm hoping that I will start as I mean to go on, working in the House of the Lord more and more in "07".

I visited another church on new year's eve and I had a great time.
I think I finally understand what yall are saying when folks say you need the annointing.
The church I went to is very big on praise and worship. Now truth be told, the complexity of the music at my church is pretty high, and where I visited for watch night did some really basic changes.........
But as they continued to worship, all of a sudden the music just blended perfectly ( and I couldn't really focus on it anyway because I was trying to get my worship on).
Now I am all for being prepared and practicing and making sure everyone is tight. But sometimes you can have all of those things and the music is still dry and vocals really sound rehearsed ( meaning not heart-felt).
I think its important to have a heart for what you are doing and that will carry you where skill can't.
I can only imagine what a combination of skill and heart-felt desire could do for a music ministry

I had a cold and a sinus infection and didnt go to regular church service that morning, but I made a special effort to go for Watch Meeting.
I had a fever end errythang, but I wanted to do what I love to do at 12:01... and that was drummin for God. I played very well that night, and they swore I was feeling better LOL.
The service was very spirit filled, my pastor preached his heart out, the choir sang with power, and the praise dancers danced with authority.... The whole night was fillied with excellence, and glory to God. All I could do is pray for the folk who were oartying, drinkin, druggin and such, rather than being in church. Thought about family members that I lost in 2006.... My sister and Grandpa being a couple of them...
I shouted like never before. Broke the chains of bondage that night. I WILL NOT start 07 with 06 heartaches.
I felt like a new person when I left that church. Sure I wanted to pass out from the fever...LOL, but it was worth coming out for.
