Title: Any Suggestions for a Maple Snare?

I'm trying to get a concensus for a 14" maple snare. Feel free to give any recommendations. I'm looking for standard sizes, 5.5 or 6 inches deep.

you can't go wrong with a Tama Starclassic G maple snare...man I love those snares...

Also, how much are you planning on spending to acquire it?

I'm a Pearl man myself, but I have heard tha Ayotte has some unreal wood hoop snares.  Also, Dangerous Ochletree makes some sweet sounding snares.  That's what Carter Beauford uses.  But once again, it's a matter of choice.  Just know that the thicker the shell, the higher the pitch can be.

Yo, I'mma check these cats out myself.  Those prices are very reasonable.  Thanks for the info.
