...yeah, JHaynes is now sponsored by Paiste and he has the Dark Energies. I would use 'em but Paiste is known as the "Bentley of Cymbals". :-\
...They are great cymbals though. IMHO.
-
Man Paistes are nice but they are way too much money but If I had the money I would probably go with them over zildjian and Sabian just because of the reflector series... Now those are some beast you hear me.... I played them at a church once..... NICE!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
The Dark Energy Mark I and II series are nice! I'd even cop a splash or two. ;D
-
For most good paiste splashes they can run you about $130 sometime..!!..ouch :'(

Yea man. Playing at another church and seeing they have good Paistes is like Christmas. :D
Personally my FAVORITE line of cymbals is the Zildian Constantinoples.

Yeah...I love Paiste...I have a traditional signature splash and a signature Dimensions 10" splash and I still haven't hit better sounding splashes in my opinion. I also still have my 18" and 16" RUDE crash/rides and they sound unbelievable. I had a 16" 2002 Power Crash and brought it to church and the next thing I knew it was gone after service. Talk about Mad >:( For those who don't know what they sound like...Check out the website because they still have the Cymbal sound room available.

...man please. This Ride is cool but they ripped it from Sabian and they know it. It's a mix of the HH Leopard Ride and the Signature Series 21" Salsero Ride.
...I personally like the now discontinued 20" Signature Dry Dark Ride. Derico Watson and Sheila E. used to play that one. I think Nathaniel Townsley uses it now.
Sidenote: Does anybody know what Paiste Ride Nat Townsley used in the MD '03 Fest?

YEAH PEOPLE! I'm glad sombody finally Got the picture.lol! I been with Paiste a little over a year now and they are the most consistant cymbals out there, mainly because of how there made. Any cymbal you buy in any series will sound the same if you get another one. Thats either a plus or minus depending on what you like in a cymbal. I know if I crack a cymbal I want to get back the sound I had, If you send me the same cymbal and it sounds different your throw'n my sound off and it doesn't match the cymbals I had befor. But agian thats why I love Paiste some cats like collecting different sounds thats cool to. But I know this I dont sound like anybody in the Gospel Industry even though J Haynes and Joel Smith just siged wit them not long ago.
-PEACE YA'LL

I played a 8" Signiture splash a GC and It was crazy!.. I was so consistant... It didnt sound brassy or anything... Only down side to Paiste Is the price.... Some of the 16" crashes are like $220...I can buy a high-end Sabian or Zildjian ride for that price :-\.... On the other hand the Quality makes up for the price that is why I wouldnt hesitate to buy one because I know that I am getting an exellent cymbal! ;)
-
I was talking to the rep for Paiste, I told him I would play his cymbals but I have a wife and two kids to feed!!!!!!!
