First song I ever played on tha Bass (in church) was "What a Friend we have in Jesus" and boy were my fingers sweating. And that, thank God, was the beginning of my awesome Bass thang.
The first song I ever played on the Keyboard (in church) was "I will cast all my cares upon you"; this time, it was my forehead that was sweating ! And that, thank God, was the beginning of my awesome Keyz thang. I even remember the combination I used; I combined phase Ep to give it that "mellow" or "glowy" sound in the background, added a piano for that distinct romantic sound that only a piano can give, and flavoured it up with some strings.
Hola.

I was 11 at the time and I played that song for the offering when Sister Hayes (RIP) made me get up there. She had no idea that in a year she would be moving back to Miami to take care of her family leaving me to play with my cousin or that MANY years later I would be leading worship from the keys or organ or MAYBE she did...
Thanks for asking...
