Yet another Musashi thread!!!! ..... I took the G2 off put the stock Ambassador back on it an tuned it, Next I went over my cusins house just to fool around in his studio and it sounded the best it ever sounded..... It had a nice pop put still had the depth I was looking for!! The next day I took it to church..... That thing was flat :-\...No ring, No overtones,No Volume at all!! Could it just be the stock heads..? .... I thinking about investing in something a little more versitile like a 5.5x14.... Maple shell!! maple is more versatile... I love my 'Sashi but I can't figure out the problem.... :)

Acoustic drums vary in their sound from room to room. That's why it is important to tune for the room('s characteristics). What tuning may have worked in one room may not work for another room. It happens to everyone, so don't think that it's your snare drum.
Just tweak your tuning until you get the desired tone and response from your drum.

Exactly. You have to tweak your tuning from room to room.

Welcome to the world of... tuning.
