What do you guys recommend? I'll be ordering my kit and cymbals tomorrow more than likely. I was looking at the B8's or the XS20's.. What do you think?

Xs20'S r alright, but the splash isn't to great from experience lol. But it all depends on how long your hoping to have the cymbals for, cos i here b8's aren't to bad for beginner cymbals.

Anything Sabian AA, AAX, HH, HHX. Anything Zildjian A, A Custom, K, K Custom. Anything Paiste Giant Beat, 2002, Signature, Dark Energy...

16" or 18" Sabian HHX Evolution O-Zone.........................

The XS20s are abit higher than low end cymbals. I'd go for those rather than the B8s.
If you do go with B8s? At least give the B8Pro's a test run first.

DO NOT GET B8's you will shoot the drummer after three songs! They are way too bright and harsh for a Church, You'll slap your Mama they sound so bad! Go with the XS20's.. they really sound good. Ive bought them and used them in the studio, that's how nice they sound....The difference between the XS20's.. and the regular high end is; The XS20's.. are a cast sheet but is still made from B-20 Bronze, the same as all the highend AA and AAX cymbals....Most high end cymbals are B-20 and up. So think of the sound you will get from a B-8. B-8 is not some code name for the cymbals its the Bronze used in the cymbals.

Paiste Signature, Dark Energy, 2002, Giant beat, et al are made from a B8 alloy, and they sound great! It's just that Zildjian and Sabian made the name of B8 mud in most drummer's ears.

Im not a big fan of the B8 series... wayyyyy to harsh... To me they sound clangy..... ;) Go to EBAY and find some nice high-end cymbals... You can usually find them for a good price too!!... Like BBD said, you could invest in some XS20's, they sound good!! and they will fit in a church setting well.... ;)
