what type of songs does your church choir sing? are they more traditional, churchy songs (He's an on time God,) or more contemporary type songs? what do you all take into account when you select songs?

Well it depends on which choir.
The Sr. Choir, they do Hymns and Traditional
The Youth Choir, they do more Praise & Worship and Contemporary
The Adult Choir, they do a mix of Traditional and Contemporary
The Male Chorus, they do Male Chorus songs but not taht ole school Quartet (sp) though.
The songs are selected based on the time of season (Easter, Christmas etc), what the morning hymn is (M.O.M. knows before rehearsal), what the pastor request, etc. The song order is based on the flow of the service and sometimes the songs on the slate may get changed due to the Holy Spirit leading other wise.
