Hey LGM
im playing a song by lakewood " we speak to nations" now its the first time i will be using a loop running from a Yamaha AW1600. Now my headphones mix makes me uncomfortable. i usually have lead vocals and keyboards a bit of bass as my main instruments. now the loop is a shaker and a triangle for time keeping purposes. im not happy with the mix what levels to have in there . panning?
what to do
any advice???????????????
help appreciated

Click or track up louder then anything else,
Leader, Lead Keys, Bass same volume,
BGV,s
Then everything else.

well in my mixes i usually have it like so.
Click
Bass
Kick
Keys
Organ - panned slightly left, Guitar - panned slightly right
Lead Singer
i usually dont have the BGV's up that high.
the reason i have the bass and the click up so high is because the click is my time keeper and the bass is what holds it all together for me then the kick because that can sometimes be lost with headphones goin in your ear.

with click traxx, i normally make the track louder and work everything else in around that,i mean if you play with it, you'll get the levels you want, just play around with it a while.
