Well i won this Warwick Thumb N/T 6 on ebay but here's the problem. The seller sent me an invoice and all but for the last 3 days I've been tring to contact him for shipping fees and different stuff just to get everything straight but he won't respond. Before the auction's end we were communicating daily but now he won't respond. I have sent him like 4 emails. This makes me sort of nervous especially when I'm putting my hard earned $1700 on the line. I need advise on what I should do!

i would wait like 2 more days. dealing with my experiences with ebay if the seller fails to make contact with you after a certain time after the auction closes, you can back out of the sale without penalty because its not your fault.

I went and looked at completed auctions for Thumb 6 strings and found the auction you won. The seller has a ton of positive feedback, so I'm not certain that you need to panic.
Regardless, hopefully you have not sent payment yet, unless it was through Paypal or a traceable US Post Office Money Order sent registered mail, signature required. It is possible that the profile got hacked. Whatever you do, do not mail payment to a P.O. Box. I know that seems like "Duhh!", but you'd be surprised how many seemingly intelligent people have done that at one time or another (not that I would have any experience with that)
Peace,
James

Yea. If the ebay seller has a rating that's in the thousands, I seriously doubt you have any need to worry.
Most of those guys with ratings that high are actual store owners, with physical locations. I try to deal with them, when I can. I rarely, if ever, buy from someone with a rating lower than 750.

I agree with everyone else that everything should work out just fine. In the meantime if you contact the seller do it through eBay so that there's copies of your correspondence in your my eBay mailbox.
Good luck. Everything will be OK.

Well as of today i give up! I've sent the seller about 8 emails since last Friday and still no response. I haven't sent the payment yet either.

Send an complaint e-mail to Ebay. They may give the guy some flak. Good thing is you didn't pay. I'm not a proponant of Ebay at all. I trust the local craigslist and the Talkbass classifieds first before I'd ever do the Ebay thing.

I'm curious. What was the seller's rating?
-
His rating was 542. I looked at his history and he has so tons of other stuff with great feed back. I think it's a pawn shop in NYC. But after that I just wasn't up to try ebay again. I went to talkbass.com instead but no one had something i wanted. So i went ahead and bought a different bass new from a big music store here. I bought an Ibanez BTB1206. I love this bass. Got it for $1177 brand new with case. That's $200 cheaper than any price I saw new online. It hase the custom U.S. made bart picks with the 18v 5.4 bart pre. It's neck through and i love it. For some reason I keep coming back to Ibanez. I wanted the Warwick and then i was bout to buy a Cirrus 6 but to me that Ibanez was just so much better in tone. I MIGHT try ebay again one day but for now i'll stick to in stores face to face or talkbass. Thanks

Nice choice. I believe the 1206 is a Prestige model. Ibanez' top of the line range.

Wouldn't have gone wrong if you had chosen the Peavey Cirrus either!
