Post by: Simnel19 on October 11, 2007, 09:08:14 PM
whats up LGM

i havent posted in quite awhile, but i am still around ;D

now, i recently decided to buy a good quality camcorder to record myself during practice.  does anyone have any suggestions on one that has quality audio and video?  better yet, does anyone have any experience with any camcorders that are between 200-400 and deliver quality videos?

I appreciate it, in advance

By definition of decent... I say that you "need" a camcorder with at least DVD or HDD recording. Saves so much hassle as those types of camcorders are setup for easy transfer of data to a PC. The old tape camcorders are a nightmare.

Anything that doesn't do DVD or HDD recording is a sin against humanity.

Tell me about it.  I have a dvc recorder (records to the small tapes) and I can't stand it.  I have lots of footage that I'd love to post, but I can't get it off of my friggin camera.

JuSeYYYY, there are all types of converters on the market now, which require a simple connection to an input/output source to convert different videos, records, files, etc. through supported software… Man you convert vinyl LPs and tapes nowadays to CD, iPod etc. I can assist if you like. What connectors accompany this unit?

More than likely, the standard composite video, s-video and firewire.

Yeah how do you transfer video from a regular camcorder tape/dvr tape(small cassette tape), or a DVD to pc or laptop. Thanks in advance for the help. I have quite a bit of stuff that i'd like to share.
