Title: To Be A Great Musician; Part 2
Post by: Saxman on October 24, 2007, 06:53:23 AM
One of the most important thing that you must realize and be aware of that this learning how to play is a process and it must require some time on your part.  You must realize that learning to play is a process; therefore, you must be patient with yourself.  Yes.  Sometimes, you are going to make mistakes.  It is just like our walk here on earth with the Lord.  We all have fallen short and you are going to sometimes “fall short” in your playing.  However, you must not give up.  Do not let others dictate to you or make you feel bad because of your playing and do not get intimidated by other musicians. Start where you are and move forward toward excellence.  Don’t let others try to make you do something that you are incapable or uncomfortable in doing.  Begin where you are and move from there.  Just remember, you may not be right now where you want to go, but you should thank God that you are not where you once were before.  Yes.  It’s going to take some time, but the key to it all is not to give up; don’t give in; and don’t give out.  Be patience with yourself.

Be Great and Be Blessed!

Yeah i really need to take things slowly. Sometimes i want to get good too fast and i forget that it took other people years to reach the level they are at. I have the tendency to rush a lot of things when it comes to music and i have paid for it. Now, i am taking things slow and steady.
