If you have your key, then any XP CD will do (as long as it's the same flavor... pro, home, etc.).  If you can't find someone with one, you can always download a CD image through the usual warez channels, burn it to a disc, and use your legit key.

If you don't know your serial, you can use Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder (http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml) then proceed by using a CD copy from someone.

No. That' not your serial. Use the program I posted.

If your PC already had XP installed on it when you purchased it, then most likely there is a product key sticker located on the machine somewhere. It may be on the top, bottom, or rear of the case. It will clearly be labeled product key and it will also indicate what type of OS you have (Professional, Home, Vista, etc...)

Try again, if it's not on your case. http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

It works for me.

The program looks pretty helpful. I could have used that a few times if not more.

Very good program. It can now tell you the serial for Office 2003 as well.
