Title: Can I do a little BRAGGING??
Post by: SisterT on November 28, 2007, 09:03:21 AM
Dec. 7th is the date!!!

My 13 year old daughter Cat, will be featured in a special segment about families dealing with diabetes. This is her opportunity to educate others about the changes that this disease brings to a family. I am so proud of her, because when we were contacted she said yes, not to get on TV but to bring awareness to others.

Now me on the other hand, I got to start walking soon, cause a sister got to get her hair "did" before the interview!! LOL!  :D Too vain?  :D

Anyway, we must go into the studio for this show. It's one of those sit down, let's talk segments. When it airs I'll give ya'll the link so that you can see it.

I'm a proud mom, cause my child is really good at educating others about diabetes. She's the spokes person for her school and she serves as a mentor when other kids are diagnosed. I'm proud because she has chosen to LIVE and to HELP others without any pressure from her parents. Isn't that awesome!

Excellent.

And of course it's not vain to get your hair 'did'.  As a matter of fact, I think you would do God a disservice if I watch the link and you just have your hair any old kind of way.  LOL! :D

Aren't kids the greatest?  Congratulations on your ability to brag!  Unfortunately, there are many parents who are not in such an eviable position.  You posting the interview?

Oh, good---you feelin' me. LOL!  :D

I'm grateful. So many kids don't realize that you must be a blessing to others. I am so proud of her because she is not one to complain about her illness. She shoots up 4-6 times a day and pricks her finger for blood 6-10 times a day. In 7 years, rarely has she complained.

Unfortunately the illness did not excuse us from experiencing the teenage drama and emotional rollercoaster rides!! LOL!  :D ;D :D

Of course I will post the interview!
