LET ME HEAR YOU SAY AMEN IF YOU HAVE.....
1. The drum set that you can tell either the Deacon or Trustee bought for the church because it matches the carpet?
2. The drum set with the bass drum backwards and you're beating on the name?
3. The set with the two big 12" and 13" toms turned almost facing you?
4. The set with the broken snare stand so you have to use the church snare that sound like a tom? lol
5. The floor tom that has a hand towel taped to it with an open hymn book on it? lol
6. The worst set in the world with that one good A custom crash?
7. The set with that rusty metal fold up chair, that you keep slidin' back in?
8. The set that's blocking some of the aisle so people keep bumping the cymbal stand during offering?
9. The horrible set that has many cymbals stands but all without the accessories so you can't use your cymbals?
10. The set that is waaaaaaaaaaay on the other side of the church away from everybody and everything? Next to the plant. lol

Wow, you're taking me back to those horrible days before I bought my kit.
you can also add..........
The floor tom with stripped legs.
The kit with no floor tom at all.
The kit with the toms mounted upside down.
The kit with the stripped tom holders so that the toms are actually laying on the bass drum and moving while you play.
The huge kit with the broken rack mount so it leans to the right the more you play till it almost falls over with all of that stuff on it.
The kit with busted heads all around(including the kick) that they tried to repair with masking tape.
The kit that keeps sliding away from you because the church has no carpet and the rubber tips are gone from the kick drum feet.
The kick drum with no feet at all.
The throne that is broken but they still make you use so you're sliding all over the top of it because there are no screws in the seat.

awww man lol.. You are absolutely right!
You made me think of the people who use duck tape as a beater pad, and the beater would get stuck to the bass drum head.

1. The Hi Hat Stand with no clutch
2. The Broken Snare drum stand that only has one position
3. The Toms with a riped T- Shirt between the hoop and the Shell
4. The kit with a Crash/Ride as its only cymbal.
5.The kit with heavily taped hardware
6. The throne that doesnt go up!
7. One Time I forgot my sticks and had to use the churches which were big black marching sticks that were different colors ( Blue and Black )
8.The super old kits that always have the same kick head ( Remo Power Center Dot)
9. Once i played somewhere on a Paiste Kit!! ::) ;D and the guys Foot Pedal was jammed into the kick head so it would move! ;D
Just a few of them I have many more where those came from!

im no drumma but.......
the set with the extension cord wrapped around the chair legs(see above) and the lugs of the kick so it wouldnt move..

Man you about sum'd all up BUT Have you seen a set with no foot pedal.
I sware, back in like 1993 I went to this church and this lady had a "Jerry Curl" leading testimony service from the drums with no pedal. She just kept kicking it with her heels on HILARIOUS!

Our choir was invited to a church for revival. We played Israel's "You Are Good". Our former MOM asked if we needed to bring any equipment(drums, keyboard,etc). He was told that they had everything we needed, so all I bring is sticks. I find that the snare head is busted on their kit, pot lids for cymbals and hi-hats, and the toms are loose on the tom holders. I rush to get our snare and cymbals and make it back just in time as the music is starting. I get the snare and cymbal situation under control but the funny thing is that the whole time we are playing You Are Good, the 13" tom is spinning and rotating on the tom holder everytime I played the bass drum. The lesson here boys and girls is always have a drum key, sticks, snare, and cymbals when traveling. Most of all (even though they mean well and may not know) never trust the hosting church when they say they have everything you need. Bring your own gear!! lol Although it was kind of hectic at first, it turned out fine and God blessed
