Title: LGM CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: FIRST RD.
Post by: DBG2k5 on December 10, 2007, 06:25:28 PM
Obviously, they can't get it right so we'll leave it up to the SAINTS to give us a national champion.

Using the BCS Top 25 here are your byes:

1. Ohio St.
2. LSU
3. Virginia Tech
4. Oklahoma
5. Georgia
6. Missouri
7. USC

And here are your first round match-ups...

16) Tennessee vs. 17) BYU
8] Kansas vs. 25) Connecticut
9) West Virginia vs. 24) Boise St.
13) Illinois vs. 20) Virginia
12) Florida vs. 21) South Fla.
15) Clemson vs. 18) Wisconsin
10) Hawaii vs. 23) Auburn
14) Boston College vs. 19) Texas
11) Arizona St. vs. 22) Cincinnati

Now, let's see if a new era of pollsters can pick a national champion...

If this ever happened, the college season wouldn't be over until like March. :)

Well, one scenerio that was floated around was that the schools would follow a schedule similar to the Big Ten.  They play a twelve game schedule but seem to finish two weeks before everyone else.  It'll still finish in January because the Bowl season is three weeks and it takes about four or five for other divisions in college football, so it is feasible. And using the bowls that are already out there for matchups would still ensure schools, companies, cities, etc. get paid.

How silly of me. Here's my picks...

Tennessee
Kansas
Boise St. <------Boise St. won't beat West Virginia- they won't be able to stop White, Slaton, Reynaud, Schmitt, etc.
Illinois
Florida
Wisconsin
Hawaii
Texas  <---------I think BC would beat Texas
Arizona St.
