Title: He saved my soul (Need to know who recorded it)

This song just came to mind, and I remember being a lil boy loving when the "grown up choir" (as I used to call it) sing it and it came on the radio every now and then back in the late 80's. Does anybody a) remember this song? and b) know who recoreded I'd like to get a copy of it.  It's an up beat song with a female lead.
