hey all, what can i do to enhance my L hand? i'm not use to using it very much. i can only do singles when moving it around the drum and it's slowing my progress down.

Speed on drums is all about the rebound. Practice rudiments on pillow or any other surface where you can't get a lot of bounce. That'll make your hand get back up faster when you get back on the set. Also when you play on the set try playing with your left hand leading. Let me know how you make out.

The pillow thing is big. Use onlyyour left hand and play singles, doubles and triplets at variable speeds. Start slow and get faster then fast to slow. Make shure that your pinky, ring, and middle fingers are doing most of the work. Find the proper balance by finding the fulcrum. The fulcrum is the support point where the stick gets optimum rebound.
