Title: Here's a Question for some seasoned guitar players
Post by: Gibby on January 10, 2008, 03:32:45 PM
I've been pokin' around the other forums.  I've noticed that inversions of chord are important when trying to play songs.  A keyboard player must know how to form a chord with the melody note on top.  I've heard keyboard players say things like "Ab major with an Eb on top". So I guess that they do that for melodic purposes.

My question is does the same rule apply to the guitar players when the keyboard player asks us to play the chords to the song?

could be a silly question  :-\
