New practice vid fammo! Check out my hand technique. My fingers leave the stick quite often. I feel like I can do alot more, alot easier if I get this down. Other than that, I hope yall like it.

Also I want to encourage everyone to record yourselves as much as possible. Video and audio. Its good to be able to look at your technique and posture. And since you are your worst critic, this should make you better. Plus, sometimes you dont sound as good as you thought when you listen back. This will also help you to raise the bar.
Sony makes a mini-disc player that comes with a condenser mic. This thing is small enough to fit in your pocket but it records a big sound. It records everything like you hear it. Its around $300 at guitar center.

I second that! I'm sure it would be a hit dude.

Vibin'! I digs it!!! ;D
-
Nice stuff man. Playing on Marvin McQuitty's gear, are you
I'd like to see you play your ghost notes a little higher off the head. And not dig your stick into the snare head. You choke off so much sound that way.
Other than that, it looks like you're vibin out.

Just a little added thought...
You could potentially be doing quite a bit of damage to your hands, wrists, and even your elbows by absorbing the the shock of the stick coming off of the drum head. Chris Dave developed tendonitus from doing this. Let the stick rebound off of the head. JoJo talks about this in his dvd.
-
Nice clip bro- fluid and effortless, the way things ought to be ;D

...I feel you on that one. I have that issue as well. That's why I'm watching Steve Smith and Dave Weckl more and more because they don't dig in on their ghost notes and they just flow.
-
Sheen that was Sick!!

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you all enjoyed it. :)
