even though this is a gospel site....I thought to share a thought........ ;)
Im in the US Navy (Sis. Cherri, knows me, we met at Guitar Center in VA Beach!!!)
Well, anyway, Im IN Dubai (United Arab Emirates, a Place thats MORE beautiful than America!!!!!) I went To the Virgin Megastore, and I was looking for some music.....
Something that i swore that Id never see again.........was sitting right in my face!!!!!!
Dave Weckl: Master Plan
For those who know what "tasteful" drumming is all about.....yall know about this!!!!
As I observe the "New Breed", everyone sounds the same, CHOPPING!!!!! BUt listening to this CD, made want to go back and practice ood time signatures, and all of that good stuff..........I mean I know That Everyone cant be a Dave Weckl.......but man, I had to get awa from that "chopping" and "shed scene".
Like John Blackwell said on his DVD, you have to go back and learn your history, to come up with new ideas for the future......INDEED THATS WHAT I HAVE DONE!!!!!!
try it out guys!!!!!!

that's cool man. Dave Weckl is the man.
Dubai!!! I can't wait to visit out there. Don't they have the worlds only 7 star hotel or something?
-
yes...its true that they have the world's only seven star hotel..........for like $500.00+ a night!!!!!! its crazy out here. as i was looking around, everybody who lives here, they drive a escalade on up.........nothing less.....no jive man!!!!! these cats got MONEY!!!!!
I think that is because of alot of American companies are investing in property and other ventures over here.........from the developments I saw, Dubai is going to make America look like third world country, and thats a straight fact!!!!!!
