b]....DID YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU WEREN'T USING YOU PINKY THAT YOU SHOULD BE!....FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY CHORD THAT YOU PLAY...THERE IS A WAY TO STICK YOUR PINKY OUT EITHER 1/2 STEP OR 1 WHOLE STEP AND MAKE THE MUSIC MORE INTERESTING!......IF YOU ARE ALREADY USING YOUR PINKY ON A CHORD...TRY REMOVING IT!....GIVE YOU PINKY SOME HOPE!....AND A WORKOUT!

Although I play very little guitar, I've tried it before and it is just as you mentioned.

A little off-key, but to take this one step further...
A few years back there was a snippet in Guitar World urging parents that had children born with extra fingers to not have them surgically removed (pointing out that they would be killer guitarists someday).
"Well son, I've taught you everything I know, now figure out what to do with pinky #2, okay?"
"Okay daddy, thank you."
I know, it's weird, but it's kind of funny.
Faced with it, though, I'd opt for my child's normalcy (when that time comes...)
