If I had an instrument worth that much I would take it on stage in it's case and not take it out until I actually play, then I would put it back in it's case before I even acknowledge any applause that I may get, take my bow(s), and then leave the stage, put it in another case over the first case and then lock it in a safe with wheels.

I wouldn't take it out to play, I'd take it on stage in a clear-cover case with a sign "For Display Only!"

I remember when I broke the head on my first guitar....
I was carrying it with the strap on my shoulder...
The strap popped....
Down went ruby....
Now it's got scratches and cracked head...
I didn't pay a million for it but had I..........
