I have a dilema with my Hammond B-3 122 leslie. It is continually going out on us and continual repair with this is not the way I'm looking to go. Does anyone have any leads or contacts of any dealers/sellers of these Hammond leslie speakers preferably for a used but in near mint condition leslie 122 (vintage). I would prefer to replace my 122 with the same type but also will be up to look at the new 122A's. But if anyone can help me out on this one that would be great. Price is not really the main concern, but we are looking for something that is not going to require a great deal of maintenance and that looks very presentable in the top of the line sanctuary. If you can provide me with this ASAP as we are currently working with no organ during services. Thanks

I don't know your location. I serviced Hammonds and other musical electronics for years before changing to computers a decade ago. It is quite difficult to find a mint condition used Leslie (because people don't generally get rid of them unless there is some sort of financial problem).
Check phone books in your area for Organ dealers, or Organ service. You may not find any, look also for piano or other musical dealers. The Leslie corporation will not sell direct to the consumer. An organ tech or dealer should be able to get a new 122A for you (you mention that budget is not a big problem, but you want something that will last without problems for a while). If you are replacing an older 122, you already have the cabling and kit needed.
I sold a few 122A's over the years to churches back when I was connected in the industry. The Leslie would be shipped by motor freight to my shop, usually by Keyboard Carriage (a company that specializes in shipment of piano/organ merchandise). They would not deliver to a residential address (zoning, enough space to turn the truck around, etc.) I would unpack and check the Leslie, load it into a full size GMC van, and deliver it to the client.
Maintenance is important. Tubes will get weak and go bad, the only routine maintenance is oiling the rotors. It does not take a large quantitiy of oil, but it is quite important to do it annually. The manual with it shows how and where.
You might also find one used on EBay. I would be hesitant on a used one unless I could inspect it (and know what to look for) - the vintage 122's are at least 30 to 60 years old now - that is a long time for equipment to be stressed.
