Title: 10 RULES FOR MANAGING A CHURCH SERVICE ON THE ORGAN

1. Manage your band via organ, dictate dont tolerate  ;D

2. Don't clash with the bass player. Too many times i hear organists drown out bass player and the bass player is looking lost like the hebrews in the wilderness for 40 years.

3. Fill in the gaps. no empty spaces with no music

4. Back up preacher WHEN NECCESSARY. don't force it. you'll know 10 min into the sermon if hes a hooper or not. no doodling while preaching

5. Talk music shouldn't be a combination of songs youve learned in the last 3 weeks  ;D ok im playin w/that one

6. Smile  ;D dont look like ur in pain when playing the organ lol

7. heel...toe...heel...toe...heel...toe.

8. shout music....pull out the stops. worship music "74" in A-sharp (True organists will know what that means  ;)

9. Play like tomorrow's not promised...cuz its not

10. this should be first...pray before ya pray

dont mind me. im bored lol

I'll consider these rules once I can play this mean machine called the organ ;D ;D

But 1st we need Kdiddy or Trinatrine to shake us up a bit ;D

11. Always keep an eye on the leader, often times you dont have to guess what the Pastor wants, because he will tell you with his body language

Rule 12: FOLLOW THE SERVICE!!!! DON'T PLAY WHAT YOU WANNA PLAY JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK ITS PHAT OR B/C YOU JUST LEARNED IT. PLAY WHATS CALL FOR!

SOMETIMES ITS NOT NESSICARY TO PULL OUT THE DRAWBARS AND HAVE THE LESLIE SPINNIN' FAST WITH THE C3 CHORUS/V3 VIBRATO ON! lol

BTW, 74 is a drawbar setting used in the A-flat setting for talk music, soft music, etc.  ;)
