Title: Aguilar S410 or GK Backline 410BLX?
Post by: dhagler on March 10, 2008, 10:23:12 AM
The Aguilar is rated 500 watts at 4 ohms. I think I can get it for $250.

The GK is rated 400 at 8 ohms.  I think I can get it for $175.

My amp is a GK Backine 600.  The 4x10 will be my only cab.

Which way would you go, and why?

Thanks for your responses.

aggie no doubt about it.

The blx sounds pretty dry sounding IMHO and i honestly hate playing on it when I go to a church that we visit about once a month that has it.

It has no tweeter, so it's really bland sounding.

I'd go with the Aguilar mainly because of the ohm rating of 4 get the most out of the head. Since it is cheaper then the gk at full price you can't go wrong.

Great news!!! The Aguilar seller agreed to my price.  Now I just have to get over to Atlanta and pick it up.

Thanks for all your replies. I am quite excited. ;D
