Here is a list of all the 3-note scale degree chords in every key and in every inversion. I suggust you go through each key at a time. Start with the root position list, go down through all 7, then go to the 1st inversion, etc. for each key. After you have finished with one key, move to the next key until you go through all 15.
Keep in mind that some keys are the same notes on the keyboard, just written out differently on paper. Knowing all the chords on this list in every key will help you to understand my post on Basic Progressions. For added practice, try playing the root of each chord in your LH as you play the RH chords. Start with a 1 note root, then a doubled root.

It doesn't have to be a sticky because it is a part of the Ultimate Theory sticky, LOL. Every time I make a theory post, the link get's posted in the Theory sticky man.

Help me understand why does the first inversion in the key of C goes to the 6th instead of the 5th? I.e. E-G-C instead of E-G-B. etc, etc, etc...

An inversion deals with the notes of 1 chord only. It doesn't go to the 6th of anything, you don't add any notes, you don't take any notes out, you just take the bottom note of the chord, and move it to the top. So, using the C major chord:
C-E-G
When you invert this chord, you take the C and move it behind the G, leaving everything else the same:
C-E-G --> E-G-C
Then, you invert it again by taking the E and moving it behind the C, leaving everything else the same:
C-E-G --> E-G-C --> G-C-E
You keep inverting until you end up back where you started. Does that make better sense?

God bless thank you for the feedback.
To clarifie what i am asking. Take the first inversion below in the key of C which is E. The progression goes from E to b3 to 6th. Is this correct compared to an E to b3 to 5th?
1st Inversion
1 E-G-C
2 F-A-D
3 G-B-E
4 A-C-F
5 B-D-G
6 C-E-A
7 D-F-B

4 A-C-F
5 B-D-G
6 C-E-A
7 D-F-B
I think you're confused about the point of this post. These are not progressions at all, they are chords. If you look back at the first post, you should see this:
Here is a list of all the 3-note scale degree chords in every key and in every inversion. I suggust you go through each key at a time. Start with the root position list, go down through all 7, then go to the 1st inversion, etc. for each key. After you have finished with one key, move to the next key until you go through all 15.
A scale degree chord is a chord built off each of the scale degrees of the major scale. You take the 1st note and build a chord, then you take the 2nd note a build a chord, etc. I'm just giving you the list of each of those chords in every key and inversion. There are no bass notes here, strictly chords. Does that clarify things?

Congratulations on your MBA Degree! Keep up the good work.
P.S. Hope this doesn't mean that you have less time to spend on the board here.

Thank you very much, I will keep going! And this will not stop me from spending time here. LGM is my second home and I can't stay away for too long.
