Hey fam! This is my band Cry Over Zion.
The track is not yet mastered nor fully mixed. I'm playing my Oak Customs.. The snare was made by Covenant Drums.

Don't pay attention to the titles of the song and album name, my guitar player was goofing around when he labeled the CD.
-
please ignore this thread.
Mods, please delete this thread, or, you could let it rot.
-
what happened bro?
-
I didn't want to put it on blast until I got approval from my guitar player. I will put it back up, he said it was chill.
Mods, ignore what I told you to ignore.
Here you go, let me know what you think guys.

Come on man. Just when I thought I was going to hear the oaks and that covenant snare. I nearly got into an accident rushing home to hear this. I miss the last thread you put up of you playing as well. :-\ :-\ :-\

I really hate to triple post, but I forgot to mention, barely anything is EQ'd. It's a pretty raw mix. We did use pretty good equipment though, which I'll list if anyone is interested.
-
Post list. Thanks.

What head combination are you using on the oaks. They sound good. The oaks have a really unique sounding bass drum. I can't think of any other bass drum comparable in sound. The covenant sounded a little brighter than I anticipated. I thought the walnut would have a darker tone.

Question...
What kind of dampening techniques did you use on the kick? a cut? no front head? big blanket inside?
Audio, Check you PMs.
-
Yo sabe! I just recieved your PM. I'll hit you up at a better hour heh.
I actually didn't use any dampening techniques. I used an Evans EQ3 I believe on front, and Emad 2 on batter side. Empty kick drum.
