Yes... this is the statement that rung in our ears ALL weekend long. Who is the "we" you ask? Well, I'll leave it up to her to tell.
We attended a dual funeral for a woman I NEVER saw... can you believe it?? Two funerals (actually one was a "wake") for a church mother down in Charleston and we never viewed the body.... just sat in church cuttin the fool. (Lawd forgive.) Yet, the most CRAZY part of these two days is that EVERYBODY that spoke said, "..in Jesus precious name." somewhere in the midst of their speeches, sermons, accolades... whatever. Is was so redundant til it became nauseating. :D
She did finally attend one of our semi-hot Temple services, but claimed that we sung TOO MANY songs... guess I'm just used to it. Yes, this sista can dress to impress... well, I was at least. Didn't think she knew HOW to dress for church being that shes on a perpetual church sabbatical.
Over all I enjoyed my three days with her and "Mutha" Greene *snicker* (who was a riot), but I think she had grown weary of all this chocolatey goodness by the last day, so I'll give her a break for a few... I can be a bit overwhelming at times.
Well, we DEFINATELY came away from this with our new church slogan...

Well, since I'm kinda sorta called out... LOL!
This weekend was, by far, one of the most interesting I've had in a long time. I had a great time hanging with NJ, but I had already met him so that, in and of itself, wasn't that big a deal. However, the "Mystery" behind the "Man" was revealed as I got to meet Mysteryman for the first time!!! Now THAT was great! And if I have to hear my MIL call one more of her "old-people friends" (as I jokingly call them) to tell them about her two new sons!! LOL! She's been talking about MM all darn day! As I type this right now, she is on the phone telling one of the church mothers about "that organist at the Temple..." I mean allllllll the way down the road she was talking about what a wonderful musician MM is and what a wonderful spirit he has and how that music just blessed her soul and blah blah blah.... lol.
And of course, she's telling everyone that they'll get to meet her new sons at Thanksgiving this year.... LOL! (Yes, NJ indeed invited himself to Thanksgiving dinner) :D :D :D
Ummmm, for whatever it's worth coming from a non-musician, MM really IS as phenomenal as everyone always says he is. MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! That thang can play! And the funny part is that his old avatar is a perfect depiction of what he looks like playing: focused, serious, meditative... and even though Linus may not have been anointed, MM certainly is! LOL! That dude made me wanna take my stilettos off and shout!!!! :D :D :D (And that was AFTER he had already played the 14 songs for the choir ::))
All in all, it was great to be in church again, and wonderful to fellowship with my brothers in the Lord! ;)

I don't even know where to begin! LOL... first of all, he's right about the dual funerals. I guess it's just the Charleston way, but we did, indeed, go to two funerals for the same woman. And for some strange reason, my MIL (and everyone else in my extended family) fell in love with this nutcase!
Thanks to Jerod and MM for showing us such a wonderful weekend! We had a blast in Jesus' precious neyam!
I wish I could convey to you just how many times I've had to listen to "Mutha Greene" telling people how wonderful you two are... I mean, LITERALLY.... all day long... she's called all her children, her first lady, and everyone who has called the house since we walked in the door has heard about those two nice young men from Columbia... ::)
I just said, "yeah, I guess they're alright..." :D :D :D

I was a little nervous knowing someone from LGM was there. Larue and her MIL seem like cool people. Rue seems more down to earth than she seems online. :D I was the only one that didnt fall under her power. LOL She is a very captivating person. Her MIL is cool too. Very down to earth.
