Yo don't feel bad man. I also LOVE that key. In fact, if we are not sure what the key to a song is, i just default to Db if i happen to know the song. I also LOVE Gb, that is another blessed key and the Key of one of my fave songs by D.McClurkin- Create In Me A Clean Heart.
Blessed stuff man.

Why do U think John P Kee sounds so good & every1 loves him??,,most of his songs are in F# man!! so people should get a life & be in tune with F# :D :D Ok, pretend I didn't utter those words, lest U find it offensive
:P :D

I never even noticed that all his songs were in F#. In fact i barely even listen to him. However once i found out that most of D.McClurkin's songs were either in Db or Gb man i loved him. He his other song "I Call You Faithful" is in Eb but that song is so powerful its forgivable. :)

I REBUKE THE KEY OF G!!!!!!!!!

I REBUKE THE KEY OF G!!!!!!!!!
In whose name?!!! :D
6 months ago it was my most dreaded key & I thought it would be the most difficult for me to learn (because I've come across 2 cats who I know quite well & they've told me they're ok with all the keys save for G)..
But Since the Lord watch talking to me :P (ever heard voices say don't be a coward?!)..yeah..
I thought since I'm so scared of it, let me just make it 1 of my favs..
Guess what.. G is my 3rd fav. key all in all (sometimes I can't rate them..but G really feels good..I just slide from F# ( a heavenly key 8)) to another heavenly key ;D

Thanks maybe I'll start working on Gb. I was going to start with Eb and Ab, I was thinking about D, but playing around the chords just didn't sound as good.
Thank heaven for the black keys. ;D

Thank God for the black keys indeed! ;D
Actually if i were you, i probably would continue working on Eb and Ab. A lot of gospel songs use those two keys more commonly than Gb.
Funny enough i am really good in C. The great thing about the "black" keys is that the chords use very similar voicings. Honestly if you can play in Db then Gb is a piece of cake to play in. The "white" keys just have wakward fingerings IMO.

Yes, Fenbox is right, let's keep the Gb club exclusive ;D ;D
On the 2nd part Fenbox, it really depends on how you practice in each key:
For me, I try to play the same voicings with all the keys..maybe it's a thing or 2 I do in Gb very well that I can't do in the rest of the others.
Bb (a black key) makes me feel like I'm in a tiny enclosed room (but hey, it felt good playing some songs with it at service today 8))..
B is a "white" key on the other hand, & once you get used to playing that E instead of F, you feel quite free to flow.
D-A-E have a similar feel.
F & Bb.
Eb & Ab.
Gb-Db & B feel alike
C& G are also great to play with...my fingers just move so freely when I'm in those keys..I don't know which 1 I like better :-\
