Rosewood finish over Birch! Yes sir.
Notice he had no hole in the front head nor did he have an interior mic nor did he mic the batter side. this is Jojo's preferred choice.

After I purchased my Delites, and the Jojo Article came out, I was so tempted to cancel and go with the S Classix. Even though the sound of Birch is lovely, once I got the Delites I realized thats exactly what I wanted. j_kay and I were talking about head selection for my Kick and we came up with a reso with no hole. Interesting mic method. It obviously works. lol. :D :D ;D

And they sounded great!

I know that they were used at your old church but man they sound really good in experienced hands. Doesn't hurt having a great sounding kit either. The kick is 20" with no muffling and had such a tight, full, in-your-chest low-end punch. It was incredible. Sounded much bigger.
