Title: Gospel Sax in Cincinnati
Post by: 513cats on June 09, 2008, 09:24:12 PM
Hello,
I'm trying to learn how to play gospel alto sax!!!!(Especially by ear) I played two years in school but that was like 8 years ago so I'm trying to start all over again. What is the best way to learn? Does anyone have any sweet licks to use during shouting music? Does anyone know of a teacher in Cincy that gives lessons?

Isn't the Cinci Conservatory over near that way?

Find a jazz student that wants to pick up a student of his own.  You will get a really good edjumacashun that way.  The other way, of course, is to practise long tones in front of a tuner until your tones is locked in.  Feel free to email me, I can help you out now and then.
