I Could Fall in Love and Dreaming of You from Selena
[Don't Let Go by En Vogue from Set it Off
Bit of trivia. "If I Could Fall in Love" was recorded here right outside of Nashville. It was the same writer/producer that did BeBe and CeCe Winans' "Heaven" CD. Wynonna Judd was recording at the studio at the same time and Selena was cooking in the kitchen for her crew and Wynonna thought that she was a cook for the studio and requested that she make some food for her people too. She thought Selena was somebody's servant. Somebody got their face broke that day.
"Don't Let Go(Love)" is my jam too. I just can't play that song at a low volume no matter how hard I try.
"Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" - Waiting to Exhale
Don't Let Go by En Vogue from Set it Off
And although you didn't ask this, my ALL-TIME FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK is the Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack. I loved 13 of the 16 songs!!! Just a phenomenal soundtrack. My favorite songs from that movie are: Sittin Up in My Room and Not Gon' Cry and Kissin You and My Love, Sweet Love.
I loved that WHOLE soundtrack. The Movie was BORING, but the music wase hot.
That en vouge song was hot too
I like all the disney songs. Alladin, the little Mermaid, beauty and the beast etc. (From when I was a kid. Dont try to take away my man card)

I was going to say that one, but I didn't know if it would fly in here. That song still drives the place wild when he does it live.
"Be One" School Daze - Phyllis Hyman
Get It Together- Brown Sugar
And by the way, another favorite from the Purple Rain soundtrack was Nikki... Goodness how I used to love that song. Moreso than anything, I love the way he performed it in the movie... PRINCE ROCKS!!!!!!
Great song.
A real good friend of mine's cousin made all of Phyllis Hyman's hats. I miss that woman. She was all class. She truly proves that you never really know what someone is going through.
I also love the "Wake Up Suite" from that soundtrack. That song made me truly appreciate orchestras.
"Perfect Match" is my ultimate favorite from that movie, but I didn't think it was right to list it because of what happens when it comes on. That groove is nasty(pardon the pun).
Oh, another bit of trivia. Did you all know that when those two girls are yelling out of the window at Dap, that the dark-skinned girl is Cassi Davis who plays Ella on "House of Payne." IF you listen real close, you know that voice immediately. The other girl is a high-school classmate of mine who grew up about 3 miles from me. She now works for BET. Another classmate gets a whole lot of camera time in that movie too. They were "famous" here in Nashville when that movie came out. A bunch of us classmates were ironically at the movie together when it came out and we were like HEY, there's Natalie, then we were like, HEY, there's Michelle.
:oooooooooooooooo, I'm surpised a you LaRue. :o
"Holding Back the Years" - Angie Stone (Love & Basketball)
Oooh how could I forget that song...
And by the way, another favorite from the Purple Rain soundtrack was Nikki... Goodness how I used to love that song. Moreso than anything, I love the way he performed it in the movie... PRINCE ROCKS!!!!!!
