Hello LGM Family,
Too much of my prayer life lately has been focused on asking God for help and I realize that I've spent far too little time just thanking Him for the wonderful blessings He's bestowed on me and my family. I have a beautiful wife and two precious children, a good job, a talented but humble worship band and a large and loving church family. I also woke up today able to breathe and eat and walk and read and that's a blessing that many people don't enjoy. Most of all, though, the God of all the universe wants to have a personal relationship with me for all of eternity and doesn't love me any less because I'm imperfect.
I think too often non-believers (and even some of the saints) tend to define Christians based on the things that we're not allowed to do. I know we honor God by following His commandments, but I think we're missing out on even more joy (for us and God) if we don't also take every chance we have every day to just appreciate the infinite beauty of God's creation and His unending love.
You guys have been a real encouragement to me and I thank God that there are brothers and sisters like you out there. He might not have an account, but I see Christ posting on this board through you.

Thank you for sharing that. In the midst of trials and tribulations I believe that it's easy to get caught up on what can God do for me, instead of what God has already done for me, or what can I do for God.
Thank you so much for reminding us of the things that we have that we might tend to overlook.

Amen! A heart of gratitude and humility is sweeter than any song, riff, or run in God's eyes. Thanks for taking the time to remind us all that real worship starts with our attitude and outlook.
Be Blessed,
J

It goes that any time our Lord Jesus wanted to pray to the Father,he started by giving thanks which i think goes a long way as to how we as believers should always approach the throne of grace.
