Title: Anything to Add
Post by: Mrandrew on August 30, 2008, 02:27:48 PM
Is there anything else I can do with this progression or should I leave it short?

Ab/G Bb C Eb
A/Bb C D F
C/G Bb D Eb
Eb/G Bb Db Eb

I am guessing this is in Ab right?

Chord 1- AbM7
Chord 2- BbM7 with the 7 as the bass
Chord 3- Cm7

It's in Eb (the Ab is being used as the 4th; while the Bb is major, making it the 5th).

I'd change the A / Bb C D F (my ear isn't fond of the sound) to:

A / B D G

or

A / C Eb G

or

Bb / C D F

and, of course, you can always use the good ol' 2-5-1, after the Eb chord, to get back to the Ab chord:

Bb / Db F Ab

Eb / C E G or A / C E G

Your 2 cents has been deposited. Thanks for the 2-5-1.

You know Fenix dislikes Eb, so I'm keep posting in this key so he'll get comfortable.
