Title: Doobie Powell band solos(Holy)

That whole crew was killing! But I think my dude Kevin stole the show with the organ...the sisters in the pink and green was feeling the spirit on those runs ;)!!

Can somebody tellin him thankya... who in the world is on the organ.  Some body please tell me who this Kevin is, where he lives, cause I gotta def see this guy in person.  WOW, what a killer performance.....never heard anything quite like Doobies productions, def off the horizon...

Much respect to Doobie and the fam. Those dudes always bring the heat. They should have let Kevin do a Organ and Drum solo :o

YEAH DOC!!!!!!!! This was at MY school........Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.....dude, this video really don't show it all.......they smashed EVERYTHING that night.......im right off screen............i will never ever.......EVER forget this lol

KEVIN murdered that solo. He made me think about how awesome heaven will be....to be in the presence of the one who created a Kevin and others to play like that.

I gotta watch that 3 more times!  dem Powell boyz alwayz come outta left field.

The best thing about that clip is the guy that you see recording over Kevin's right shoulder.  How many times have we seen clips on youtube where you see other people recording it...but those versions never show up on youtube.  E.g. the shout clip from AIM 2007 where Eddie Brown is on organ and Mike Bereal is on keys.  There are like 10 people recording with phones and such yet there's only ONE clip of it on youtube.  So God bless the guy over Kevin's shoulder!

The drummers are not what is the strength of this clip is.  Its Kevin Powell on the organ. 

Just for keep it real sakes, lets go this way for a little bit...

I am going to say that Kevin is the meat and potatoes of that band.  Not to take anything away from any of the other cats on stage because they are definitely doing their thing and are talented, but he is what really gives the band its overall flavor.  You can interchange drummers and bassists, but taking Kevin out of that band is like taking Thad out of Sound Check.  It has been proven.  Look at how many interchangeable parts have been put in for drummers and bassists over time.  Without Killa Kev, it don't go down.  He is the constant on all of the clips (audio and video) that makes everything fit. 

Just adding my 2 Abe Lincolns...

i cant say that i agree wit this statement

bcuz i have seen and heard doobie and band before kev started playing for doob on a regular basis, even before b. hodge and skeet so i say that to say his sound has always been sweet
