I PERSONALLY USE THE VIC FIRTH 5A WOOD TIP. IT IS BIG ENOUGH FOR CHURCH AND YET HAS ENOUGH FINESSE FOR JAZZ..........
-
Zildjian Dip 7A wood tip..Comes in purple or black..
-
I'm not really picky personally, but any 7A wood tip hard wood stick will work for me.
-
Right now I'm diggin the vic firth Buddy Rich and Gerald Heyward signatures. I also use those and the vic firth SD2 bolero and SD9.
-
Vater Extreme 5A or Vater Power 5A. Those are my favorites. Vater Power Fusion sticks are nice also.
-
I just picked up a couple pair of Buddy Rich sticks I've been playing vater fusions and 8A for a while though
-
I use Promark and Zildjian Power Pro size 7a with nylon tips.
-
Vic Firth D.Weckl signature most of the time
Vic Firth 85a for small clubs
Vic Firth Extreme 5a sometimes in the studio for a fatter sound
-
Vic Firth SD2 Bolero rules on my kit! OT.
-
For me it is a hard decision between the Pro-Mark japanese oak 7A's or the Vic Firth Peter Ernski 7A's it's a hard choice.
-

-
I use a mix between Vater Fusion Vater 8A and Vater Recording Wood Tip.
I also use the Vater 3A Fatback and The Vater Power 5A.
-
I'm loving the Vic Firth 5A wood tip. They are sweet for my rim shots and pocket playing. To me they are not to heavy and not to light. I feel very comfortable using them and I've tried them all.
FYI
I got the recommendation to try VC 5A from this site from someone talking about sticks a few months ago. Thanks to all you drummers that replied. It really helped me.
I love this site. I don't get to reply alot, but I visit and read almost everyday. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I get so excited reading the comments of the men and women talking drums. Alot of the things I read in here are really inspiring. I wish we could all get together and play and talk.
