Does anyone have an iphone? I'm lookin into one and I want some LGMers opinions!!!!
-
I was gonna get one last saturday, but purchased something else instead.
They have a bunch of cool apps for musicians, that can teach you theory, and test you ear.
-
Yeah I got an ipod touch and have some cool apps. I just really really want the actual phone part too.
-
The phone bill is too much for the data plan. Not worth it for me, otherwise I might have gotten it

The founder has an iPhone.

Doesn't come out for T-mobile so i will probably opt for the I-Touch instead.

I have the G1 of the iPhone. I LOVE it. I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I am not to sure about the new version. I was told that the 3G speeds are just hype. But, for the price I'd take a whack at hit.
It is such a cool device...all others are just imitators. However the Blackberry Storm has peaked the royal interest. Trying to get my job to get me one of those.

I picked up a Storm around Thanksgiving. Love it! The click-screen is more common sense than revolutionary, in my opinion. Basically the whole screen moves and clicks when you press a key. The letter / # that you are pressing lights up in blue to reduce the incidence of typos.
It came with an 8GB SD card installed, so I can upload a lot of my music from iTunes. If my wife caught any of my not-so-subtle hints, I should be getting a pair of Bluetooth stereo earphones. Then I can work out at the gym at work without taking my iPod.
I already had Verizon, so my decision was formed around, "is the iPhone that much better than the Storm to have me consider changing carriers?". The answer was obviously "NO". The iPhone apparently has more gaming apps, but other than that, they are very comparable. The Storm has the SD card capability which the iPhone does not. At the end of the day, potential for memory expansion is more important than gaming for me.
Peace,
James

The Iphone is cool got one for the wife and she loves it.... Only thing is we had it 'jailbroken" so it would work on Tmobile's network. So you cant download EVERY app but you get more than enough!!!!! I wanted the Storm but it doesnt have WIFI so im trying to hold out hoping the next version will

I thought about the WiFi issue for a minute, but then I figured that with the internet access and Bluetooth, I didn't see where not having WiFi would prevent me from having access to anything.

well you know I've heard people can actually convert the touch into the phone...

You can actually have an Iphone with Tmobile ...just have it un-locked @ Wireless Toyz..if they have one in your city

I have an iPhone on Pay as You Go, the phone cost a little more but I don't have the big phone bill at the end of the month ..... :).
The features are without a doubt 1st class and the abilities are simply wild, certainly something to get if you have the money, but I would shy away from getting one on contract.

I have an iPhone on Pay as You Go,
How did you do that? Did you just have it unlocked?

He's in England. Unlike here most providers use GSM so phones come with sim cards.
-
I was tempted to get one with a discount from my job but Im not ready to renew a contract yet. Dont know if I will switch carriers later on. We all were on the phone one night and the Originator was able to get more than 3 way calling with the iphone. He was even able to do PM with different callers in the conference.
-
Do not....I repeat....Do not even consider the Sprint Instinct!!!!! :(

That's right over here in England a lot of providers, sell the phone on contract first and then a few months later release the same phone on a pay as you go basis. That way they fulfill the needs of those who can't handle those monthly bills. I am currently with o2 formerly known as BT Cellnet.
