Title: Perfect for Guitar Players??
Post by: 4hisglory on January 08, 2009, 10:10:14 AM
I was searching today and found this:

http://www.ccic-ctu.org/downloads/WorshipBinder.pdf (http://www.ccic-ctu.org/downloads/WorshipBinder.pdf)

Thought it would be good for the guitarist. :)

What i meant was how did you even go about knowing to look for a resource like that?

Might I suggest downloading the pdf (if you have not already) and saving that to your drive somewhere?

There's a chance that this page is not totally legal due to copyright/publishing laws and could be taken down.
I'm not saying that it WILL, I'm just saying that it could...better safe than sorry.

That aside, it looks like a very good resource for worship songs in open-chord format. Very well done, imho.

I actually just found it by accident.  I was searching for something else and it came up as one of the results.

Thanks man, i already did that. I have noticed that a lot of the sites i used to get my chords and stuff from have taken down either the lyrics or the chords associated with them. They can't give you both anymore.

I'm all about protecting the rights of the creators, but we're talking about music here (I'm speaking in a general sense). Music is made to be--let's say it together now--SHARED WITH EACH OTHER

Thanks for jacking that up for the rest of us, Lars...  ::)

Sorry, I'm still mad about that whole ordeal...

Anyhow, at a quick glance, that looked like a good resource to have. From some that I know, it was pretty bare bones, but gets you in the ballpark--especially if you're just strumming along.

Good find.

yeah, looks good for a basic worship book. i saw a few progressions that raised the eyebrows, but they still worked.

hey, if it's there gotta call it. but again, it's a matter of everyone playing everything a little differently...doesn't make either right or wrong (unless it's WRONG), just catches the eye when you see it. like, "i don't play it THAT way....)

I looked...and looked...

...but I can't seem to get the Fred Hammond or Tye Tribbett section to open.

Any suggestions?   :)
